CalandarNotes ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Data Collection and Usage
CalandarNotes is designed to be a private-first application.
No Personal Information: We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or other personally identifiable information to use the App.
Your Notes: All notes, events, and data you enter into the App are stored locally on your device in a private database. We do not have access to your notes.
Backup Data: If you use the manual Backup feature, a JSON file is created locally on your device for sharing. This file remains under your control.
2. Permissions
Internet Access and Network State: Used solely for the Backup and Restore sharing feature and the Feedback email feature.
Read Phone State: A legacy permission used for internal device compatibility. No personal call logs or identifying information are accessed.
3. Third-Party Services
Google Drive Auto Backup: If Android system-wide Auto Backup is enabled, a copy of App data, encrypted by Google, may be stored in your private Google Drive account. We do not have access to this data.
Email Providers: Feedback and Share Backup use your chosen email client.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
You control your data. You can delete individual notes or use Delete All Data in Settings to permanently remove information from the App's local database. Uninstalling the App removes local data unless system-wide Auto Backup is enabled.
5. Security
By storing notes locally on your device, we minimize risks associated with cloud storage. We recommend using a screen lock to prevent unauthorized physical access.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy by changing the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
